History

Valley Art Association was founded by a  group of dedicated volunteers who under stood the important role of the arts and  culture in a vibrant society. And Valley Art  is still proud today to be an entirely volunteer run organization with a strong track  record of serving the community and its  artists. We are a key community gathering  place and cultural center for artists, teachers, students and art lovers in our region.

As we entered our 50th anniversary year  we were at the ideal moment to initiate a  project to completely overhaul the front glass, updated awning, and uncovering  old transom windows that have been hid den over 50 years.

However, our building is over 87 years  old and as we began our storefront im provement we found the front wall was  in need of serious structural upgrades as  well as asbestos abatement.

The art that local artist Eric Canon had  installed needed to be cleaned and up dated and the awning was leaking and  needed to be replaced.
